AI Use Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2025
My Commitment to Human Creativity
I believe in the irreplaceable value of human creativity, expertise, and connection. I also believe that AI is a co-pilot to help streamline my workflow. Here's how I approach AI in my work as an author:
What I Create Myself
100% Human-Written Content:
All my books, including Thread Traveller, are written entirely by me
All website content, blog posts, and newsletters are written by me
All creative content comes from my own imagination and experience.
Human Collaborators:
Cover designs are created by human designers
Professional editing and copy editing are done by human editors
All creative decisions are made by me with input from human professionals.
How I Use AI as a Business Tool
I do use AI to help with business operations and administrative tasks, including:
Managing my inbox and scheduling
Organizing project timelines and deadlines
Research assistance for marketing and business planning
Administrative tasks that support my writing and publishing business
Editing my email newsletters
Using tools that employ AI inside their products like ProWriting Aid, Kit, Canva and Descript.
What This Means for You
When you read my books, you're reading 100% human creativity
When you receive my newsletters, they're written by me personally with friendly editing support from Claude
When you interact with my website content, it's all my own voice and perspective
Any AI assistance is limited to behind-the-scenes business operations that help me focus more time on writing.
Why This Matters
I believe readers deserve transparency about how content is created. While AI can be a useful business tool, the heart of storytelling—imagination, emotion, human experience—cannot be replicated by machines.
